Main Article Content
Abstract
This study investigates pesticide contamination in soil and cow milk across Rohtak and Panipat, Haryana, India. Soil samples revealed high levels of Malathion (15.06 mg/kg and 12.45 mg/kg) and DDT (0.72 mg/kg and 0.96 mg/kg), with moderate levels of Chlorpyrifos and Cypermethrin. Milk samples showed elevated Chlorpyrifos concentrations (2.07 mg/L and 2.11 mg/L) exceeding safety limits, alongside detectable levels of Malathion and Cypermethrin. The findings highlight persistent pesticide residues and potential health risks, underscoring the need for enhanced monitoring and sustainable pest management practices to safeguard environmental and public health.
