Abstract

This paper examines the role of motivation in influencing teacher effectiveness. Motivation, defined as the internal and external factors that drive individuals to pursue goals and tasks, plays a crucial role in the teaching profession. This study explores different types of motivation—intrinsic and extrinsic—and their impact on teacher performance, job satisfaction, and student outcomes. By synthesizing existing literature, applying motivational theories, and analyzing case studies, this research aims to provide insights into how motivation affects teaching practices and overall effectiveness. The findings indicate that both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation significantly impact teacher effectiveness, with implications for teacher training, professional development, and educational policy.
